The different materials and the different colors in this phase are mixed all together, in order to have a single homogeneous batch in terms of composition and color.
The materials undergo a sort of cleaning from the shorter fibers, they are frayed to be ready for carding and finally they are treated with products that increase the smoothness of the fibers between them, promote softness and do not allow them to become charged with static electricity.
The whole process is automated and takes place through the transport of the fibers with the air. Batteries of filters separate the short fibers which can be reused in other processes.
